Our suite: 50 m² over two floors. It carries the name of Giovanna, the interior designer who helped us dress the soul of the castle — and you can feel it in every detail.

A large living room with sofa bed and a bathroom with shower on the lower floor; above, in the Tower, the master bedroom with a king-size bed, a bathroom with tub, rain shower and twin basins, and a panoramic view. Underfoot, a glass panel protects a piece of our history: the partisan's hiding place.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know

What is it like to sleep in a medieval castle?

Sleeping at Castel di Luco means experiencing the genuine atmosphere of a medieval castle without giving up modern comforts. The rooms keep the character of the historic walls, the decorated ceilings and the Tower, but come with a private bathroom, free wi-fi and comfortable beds.

Are the rooms at Castel di Luco all the same?

No. The castle has just nine rooms and each one is different. The layout, the view, the architectural details and the historic features all change from room to room.

What is included in the stay?

Every room includes home-made breakfast, private parking with CCTV, free wi-fi, a private bathroom and the guided tour of the castle, usually held in the late afternoon.

Do the rooms have private bathrooms?

Yes. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, and the Suite also has a bathtub and a rain shower.

Do the rooms have wi-fi?

Yes. Wi-fi is available free of charge in all rooms and in the shared areas of the castle.

Do the rooms have a television?

No. We chose not to put TVs in the rooms, so that the stay can be about rest, quiet and the castle itself.

Which room has the best view?

Every room has a different outlook, but the Panoramic with balcony is the only one with a private balcony over the valley. The Junior Suite, up in the Tower, also offers a wide view over the Valle Verde and the surrounding mountains.

Which is the largest room?

The Suite is the largest accommodation in the castle, around 50 m² over two levels. It has a living room, a bedroom in the Tower and two bathrooms, one with a tub and rain shower.

Which room is best for families?

The Junior Suite sleeps up to four, while the Deluxe and the Suite work very well for families or small groups who want more space.

Are the rooms suitable for a romantic stay?

Yes. The castle's rooms are ideal for couples looking for a romantic stay in a place full of history, surrounded by nature and far from the noise.

Does every room have a different view?

Yes. Some rooms look out over the valley, others onto the castle courtyard or the countryside around Acquasanta Terme. Each one gives you its own view of the village and the landscape.

Why do the rooms have women's names?

Each room is dedicated to a woman of the family that has looked after and lived in Castel di Luco for generations. It's a way of telling the castle's story through the people who were part of it.

Can I request a specific room?

Yes. Subject to availability, you can request the room type or the particular room you prefer when booking. We'll gladly help you find the one that suits you best.

What is the difference between the Panoramic, Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suite and Suite?

The types differ in size, layout and features. Some have a private balcony, others a sitting room, a two-level layout or spaces built into the castle Tower. Every room keeps the same genuine character and the same included services.

Does the stay include the castle tour?

Yes. The guided tour of Castel di Luco is included in the stay, and takes you through the history of the castle, its halls and the people who still look after it today.
